WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PLAN TO BE PRESENTED AUGUST 15

The Northwood Lake Watershed Association (NLWA) received a Watershed Assistance Grant for Water Quality Planning (604b) from the U.S. EPA through the NH Department of Environmental Services. Coupled with association funds, the NLWA has hired FB Environmental Associates (FBE) to develop a Watershed Management Plan (WMP) to help study the water quality and watershed of the lake and outline a course of action to improve the water quality and reduce the chance of harmful algal blooms.

A draft of the WMP will be presented at a public meeting on August 15th, 2026  at 2:00PM at the Lantern Light Camps Northwood NH.

For more information on the Northwood Lake WMP project, please contact Brian Lobao (brianlobao@northwoodlake.org).

Approximately half the funding for this project is provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under Section 604b of the Clean Water Act.  The funding is administered by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services in partnership with EPA.  EPA does not endorse any commercial products or services mentioned.
